Q: You have been on tour more or less the entire February 2026.
Until mid-March, you will play five more concerts.
How are you doing?
A: We are doing well.
The start of the tour was very good, despite some difficulties and obstacles that we were able to overcome quickly thanks to everyone involved.
We are really more than satisfied.
We have already traveled several thousand kilometers, met hundreds of old friends, and made many new acquaintances whom we have welcomed into our hearts. We were welcomed everywhere.
We couldn't have wished for a better start to the year 2026.
Q: You are playing about 100 concerts this year.
You do everything completely DIY.
You book your concerts yourself, take care of everything around it,
and your own label KOB Records certainly demands a lot of time.
A: We are doing a very good job. It's not easy, but we believe in what we do. We work with a lot of enthusiasm and passion, which makes our work much easier.
We are one of the very few bands and independent labels that are truly 100% DIY, and we are proud of that.
Every milestone we reach, both with the band and with the label, is an incredible achievement, but at the same time, it is also a new starting point. Maybe we will never reach the very top, but we enjoy every important step and every important goal we achieve.
Q: Your drummer broke his arm at the start of the 2026 tour.
How did he handle it? Did you find a new drummer who could step in on such short notice?
A: Since December 2025, our new drummer Samuel has been with us.
On the morning of January 30, 2026, when we wanted to drive from Berlin to Erfurt to play our first concert of 2026, Samuel slipped on black ice in Berlin and broke his elbow.
As a band, we decided together not to replace Samuel.
Samuel had been preparing for the tour for months. He really wanted to play and tried to do it with one arm. That worked well.
By early March 2026, he had played 17 concerts with just one arm and did very well.
Q: This year you are going on a tour in South America.
How were you able to realize the tour? Do you have fans in South America or
is this your first tour that you will play in South America?
A: We have been to South America three times before.
It is always great to be there.
We have a really huge fan base there, from north to south, in all countries. For this tour, the guys from “Guns Fever Producciones” ( https://www.facebook.com/gunsfeverproductions/ ) from Bogotá are helping us.
We will travel to Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. We are already feeling excited about the tour.
We know that many fans are waiting for us and that it will be an unforgettable tour. As always, we will also report daily about our time there on social media during the South America tour.
Q: If I understand correctly, you have almost annual lineup changes at LOS FASTIDIOS.
Is this intense touring difficult for most musicians to arrange with their (private) lives in the long run?
A: Our lifestyle is not easy.
Over the years, there have been many lineup changes, and we thank all the musicians who have contributed to the band.
This year we are starting anew with two new musicians on guitar and drums. We are excited because we believe that we currently have the best lineup of all time, both musically and personally.
Gek on guitar and Samuel on drums have joined me (Enrico – vocals), Elisa Dixan (vocals), and Midio (bass) with great enthusiasm and a strong desire to achieve something. We immediately found an incredible connection with each other. It was and is different from anything we had with previous lineups. I am sure that we will achieve great things together!
We also have two substitute drummers who will occasionally replace Samuel (Pier and Coppi), both excellent musicians.
With this team, we will let you see and hear great things.
Q: Enrico, you have been a vegan for many years. What can you share with people
who want to become vegetarians or vegans?
Was the transition to a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle difficult for you?
A: I have been a vegetarian since 1995 and a vegan since 2003.
For me, it was a logical change in my diet as soon as I opened my eyes and became aware of the significance of the market for meat as well as for animal products and the exploitation of the animal world that goes along with it.
I believe that we cannot fight for human rights without considering the rights of animals, who are also living beings and do not differ from us humans.
I believe that to become a vegetarian or vegan, one only needs to open their eyes and finally see the horrors that are committed daily in the name of human arrogance.
Music certainly helped me on my path when I listened to songs like “Meat is Murder” by The Smiths in the late 80s and then played with Los Fastidios in Northern Europe at some concerts and festivals where animal rights issues were also a significant part.
There, too, I realized that the only lifestyle one can have with a clear conscience is a vegan lifestyle.
Q: There are currently incredibly many conflicts and wars in the world.
Every day a new bucket full of bad news is poured over us. How do you…how do you as a band deal with it?
A: For years we have been repeating at every concert that the rulers of the world are trying to pit people against each other.
It is a dirty game that unfortunately too many people fall for, fueling hatred in a world that is already sinking more and more into hatred and wars.
Even the most recent conflicts further divide people, even though we should actually understand that the real enemy is not my neighbors, but those who control the planet and hold the strings of us poor puppets in their hands.
We believe that music can be more than ever an instrument to spread unity, and as musicians, we try our best to promote this unity.
Music is our weapon, the only weapon we like.
Music connects, hatred divides.
Make music, not war!
Fight the system, not the people!
Q: The political situation in Italy is anything but good.
Would you like to talk about the current situation in Italy?
What can or should be done for more humanity?
A: The political situation in Italy is bad, as it is in most countries in Europe and the world.
The class consciousness of the past has unfortunately been displaced by nationalist and capitalist extremism.
New forms of discrimination are spreading.
The national and international political system sows hatred and fear among people.
It seems that there is a global and not a national strategy of hatred, which we must respond to by trying to unite people, workers, students, unemployed, and retirees.
We must awaken this class consciousness, which unfortunately lies dormant. We know that another world is possible, and we must never lose hope.
Q: Which concerts or which festival are you most looking forward to this year?
A: We are looking forward to every concert we will give, because for us, every concert is a special event, whether on a big stage or in a small club.
Everywhere we will play, friends will be waiting for us with great enthusiasm.
