It is always amazing that such great music comes from Bavaria, despite such difficult conditions (CSU, Free Voters, Catholic, Conservative...) !!! However, Pumuckl also holds his mischief there ;-)
Even though FAREWELL SIGNS has its roots in Meck-Pomm, the band has come together in Bavaria since 2022. Previously, the quintet was active in various bands, none of which I am familiar with.
The fact is, this debut album with its 11 songs digs its fingers directly and deeply into my hardcore heart. 32 minutes of finest, melodic, direct hardcore, certainly with touches of alternative rock. And when the opener (In awe of your own killer) slowly builds up tension, including a powerful bass line (!) and then leads to an explosion, I just love that....
“Dead Body Language” is definitely at the top of my summer/fall list!
And if I understood correctly, the album consists of three (digital) singles/E.P.s that have been released in the last 12 months and now appear as a “whole” artwork digitally, but also on multicolored vinyl.
Unfortunately, I don't have the lyrics to the 11 songs, but I think the song titles speak for themselves (e.g., In awe of your own killer, while they betray, death ceremony, we bleed the same, a chain of guilt, tonight we're not for sale, bitter end).
For every hardcore lover, this album is a MUST !!!
