The lovingly designed booklet, complete with crossword puzzle, has already brought a smile to my face, especially the look at the guys from 10 years ago clearly shows: 10 years of band history! And that's exactly the reason for the album "Zehne Verdauen". Mostly old songs repackaged, with a few minor corrections and newly recorded here and there, it’s hard not to move to the beat.
The likable Berliners describe their music as party punk, and that’s how it can mostly be classified. They don’t take themselves too seriously and can bring topics that lead to hours of plenary discussions right to the point with a wink. In the 14 songs on the album, it becomes clear that they have maintained this balance over the last 10 years. A healthy mix of fun and serious topics. I couldn’t get the song "Scheiß Security" out of my head for days and found myself humming it again and again whenever it fits (surprisingly, it often does). "Helden sein" sounds to me like a reflection on the last 10 years, even if the lyrics were probably written during that time. Hey guys, you’re not 18 anymore either!
Conclusion: For me, definitely a worthwhile album, especially for people who don’t go to the basement to laugh.
