KITTY IN A CASKET from Austria have recorded a new album, which will be unleashed on humanity, or better yet, on the freaks who love Psychobilly, Horrorbilly, and zombies, on May 10, 2013.
The fourth album of the Viennese band is brimming with zombies, blood, and... well, good vibes.
You could also call it morbid charm, but the band's music is more like the soundtrack to an amusing splatter comedy about the massacre at a prom queen party.
KITTY IN A CASKET play with the clichés associated with the Horrorbilly genre while simultaneously handling them with a skilled nonchalance. Songs like “In blood we trust,” “Kreepsville 666,” or “Best before Doomsday” are top-notch Horrorbilly that fans will fall in love with immediately.
KITTY IN A CASKET have included two songs in German on this album alongside their English-language tracks. Particularly, the song “Die Geister die ich rief” is one that you can fall in love with right away. Kitty's voice comes across so crystal clear and bell-like that you wonder why a girl with such a beautiful voice stands on the dark side of humanity. The woman can sing, folks!

But the band hasn't just recorded a new album with “Bittersweet”; they have also strengthened their lineup. Todd Flash has joined as the second guitarist, and with Tom Mooner, there’s a new man on (double) bass. The second guitar suits the band well. The sound is fatter, and the riffs can be accentuated even more.
KITTY IN A CASKET have released a blood-dripping candy with “Bittersweet,” which is poppy enough to appeal to the younger generation, yet still retains enough Billy that we can't talk about the sellout of the Horrorbilly genre.
The fact that the band will soon be performing their first concerts in the USA can certainly be seen as a confirmation. I am sure that the Viennese will have fun in the USA.
