It wasn't long ago that I reviewed the debut album of the duo from Berlin. The debut performed quite well. The review can be found at

to read.
The positive response to their debut seems to have motivated Mr. Bommel and A. Donnermann to continue. Said and done. After all, there are plenty of reasons to produce noise every day.
The promo sheet starts with “Dear noise connoisseurs”….which is exactly how it reads. There is really noise here.
The mix of grindcore, thrash, a bit of death metal, and '80s hardcore that I liked in the debut remains intact. Although hardcore has mostly given way to thrash and grindcore. Only vocally, the good old hardcore is still present. The lyrics are indeed largely understandable (at least if you have the booklet at hand), which is by no means a given in this kind of…let's call it music.
The thirteen song titles of the noise duo are as cryptic as in the debut and bear such lovely names as “Ancient Debris”, “Two Hours of Steel Storm”, or “After a Short Severe Illness”. One can imagine a lot or also ask in confusion: What does the band mean by that?
Well, since the lyrics are printed in the booklet, anyone can read them. The range goes from short couplets to socially critical statements, future visions, and the depiction of very personal fears.
100000 TONNEN KRUPPSTAHL is by no means a band that makes music under the motto “Noise, as long as it's loud” but rather noise with a message!
100000 TONNEN KRUPPSTAHL make intense music. We live in intense times, and it takes intense music to cope with it.
100000 TONNEN KRUPPSTAHL are a noise monster, perhaps just what we need to still think clearly.
