Half a year ago, I criticized the five Norwegians (for the pitiful 2 songs on the single), but I also praised them (what an awesome scumfuck punk rock). Thankfully, the first point can now be dismissed with their first full-length album!
The second point remains, and THE GOOD THE BAD THE ZUGLY blast 12 new awesome full-speed trash punk rock songs into my ears, making me lose track of time for 26 minutes! The 12 songs hit hard, and the nice banter (scumfuck says hello) between the tracks provides good entertainment. This record is definitely the best album that has come my way in 2013. Okay, the year is still young, but for anyone into GG ALLIN, BLACK FLAG, MOTÖRHEAD, HELLACOPTERS, and TURBONEGRO (by the way, the album was mixed by Tommy Manboy, who also produced the latter), this album is a must-buy. And so it is for me…
From now on, there’s no escaping THE GOOD THE BAD THE ZUGLY, period!
The only personal downside (and therefore no 10 points) is that I don’t have a booklet, so I can only sing along to the catchy choruses of great songs like “Reaction Formation,” “I ain’t got no job,” “Call the corps,” “Please kill me,” “Smoke ’em,” “Less than zero,” etc. I want more! More! MORE!!!
