This band with the unusual name hails from San Francisco and was originally formed as an acoustic band. However, there are now seven (?) band members, and they are no longer strictly an acoustic band. The current album is also the first release from the label Out Of My Mind Records based in Dormagen. It would be interesting to know how this collaboration came about.
Musically, the album II traverses various genres. One can clearly hear influences of country, as well as bluegrass, punk, and folk, just as described in the band info. A wide range of different instruments are used, and everyone in the band gets a chance to sing. At times, the vocals even had a pretty rock 'n' roll vibe. Somehow, it all sounds quite a bit like hillbilly music (Rockahillbilly, haha!), or film music that plays whenever someone runs away in a movie. You know what I mean... It's best to give it a listen yourself.
Overall, the musicians are skilled with their instruments, have good, varied songwriting, and the production has turned out well. It's a solid package! The artwork of the CD is simple but fitting. However, what definitely needs improvement are the tiny lyrics printed in the booklet, which spans a mere two pages. Perhaps a few more pages would make it friendlier on the eyes.
