SAMAVAYO from Berlin released a new album on October 12, 2012, which bears the beautiful name “Soul Invictus“.
SAMAVAYO, wasn't there something just recently? Yes, the last album is from 2011. At that time, the band played somewhat dreamy yet always demanding rock. The review of the album from 2011 can be read here:

The ten songs of “Soul Invictus“ speak a different language. It is almost surprising that only about 1 ½ years separate the band's last release from this record.
While the band was dreamy in 2011, in 2012 they are concrete, one might almost say, hard and direct.
Personal experiences, personal setbacks, the goal of doing everything alone, and the feeling of life that musicians who love their music and what they do experience is musically and lyrically expressed on “Soul Invictus“.
From dreamy rock, SAMAVAYO effortlessly transitions into a mixture of heavy rock with '70s influences, stoner, metal, hard rock, and a touch of grunge. This makes the band so good, as if they had never done anything else.
The arrangements are sophisticated, multi-layered, exciting, and demanding. It is music that invites you to dance, to dream (that is still possible), as well as to actively listen multiple times.
However, the band does not lose itself in the music and places it above all else. Thus, with the ninth song on the record comes a song sung in Persian that aims to give hope to the people in Iran. A preview of the song and the video can be found here:
