This time, it gets bloody again, but significantly more brutal, intense, and perverse than in the two mentioned books. In "Mädchenfänger," I'm listening to the hard thriller on 6 CDs, which means almost 8 hours of listening pleasure, and believe me, there isn't a boring, sleep-inducing, or dull minute on the CDs. Oh no, it moves at a rapid pace and is relatively up-to-date. We all have a Facebook profile, including 13-year-old Lainey, who wants to meet 17-year-old Zach aka El Capitan. However, El Capitan is just a fake and makes Lainey disappear. This case is now assigned to successful FBI agent Bobby Dees, whose daughter Katy disappeared a year ago. During the investigation, brutal paintings of several young girls suddenly appear. Horribly mutilated, disfigured, and eyeless! Yes, eyeless! So, not for the faint of heart! But super intense and well-written. Those who use audiobooks and audio plays to fall asleep will not enjoy "Mädchenfänger," because it is so thrilling that one simply cannot fall asleep... No chance! *WOW*
