Dislocate from Saarland deliver straightforward, straight-edge hardcore on their album "Stop this Tradition," and this band has every chance of becoming one of the big names in the scene. Technically, there is nothing to criticize about the band's sound; however, they don't stand out to me compared to the variety of other good hardcore bands. Classic hardcore sound that makes no compromises, and for which one must tip their hat to the guys for this successful debut album. The Saarlanders have musical experience, as they were formed from members of the former bands HATECLUB and DEAD END STREET.
Dislocate is also on the same label (district 763 records) as ISOLATED from Quedlinburg, who, in my opinion, delivered the best hardcore record of the year. Nevertheless, Dislocate will surely appeal more to some hardcore lovers, especially because they usually keep it uptempo, and you can't go wrong with that in hardcore. However, for me, it lacks variety over time; still, I find the guys from Saarland likable, as they are expressive in their lyrics and express an anti-war stance. The outro "Free Lybia" features a hip-hop beat and includes samples related to the revolution in Libya. Intelligent and well-thought-out lyrics allow them to score some points with me! It's a shame that the promo disc doesn't come with a booklet containing the lyrics!
