The first thing that caught my eye after downloading the press material was the promo photo. I once again asked myself how many studs a punk needs, and whether at that age one still feels the need to dress so "scene-typical," or if one can't age with dignity?
Now to the CD, after the opener "Hooligans Holiday," a typical Oi-Streetpunk song, the tracks continue in this formula without necessarily being boring. The lyrics are largely critical and politically motivated, with the song "Wake up America" being my favorite.
There is also a nice "drinking song" with "Delirium," and a funny English song with a German chorus titled "Du siehst scheiße aus." The cover follows the typical design of early 80s punk LPs and shows lead guitarist Shawn Smash (in his younger years) being beaten by the California police.
All in all, a CD that you can buy if you like streetpunk or Oi, but you don't have to.
