BRIDGES LEFT BURNING from Frauenau in the Bavarian Forest are releasing a new vinyl EP. The data junkies can also get the whole thing as a download.
The band's own label was kind enough to send me a copy of the vinyl. A huge thank you from my side! Since I joined ramtatta.de, I've never received vinyl before! Really great of you, dear label.
The EP is available exclusively as colored vinyl. Even before the release, so many pre-orders came in that a second edition in a different color than the first edition could be tackled. As a vinyl lover, this naturally makes me happy, as it shows that vinyl is making a comeback. Especially with a sound that is likely to appeal to the younger hardcore generation, this is a signal of appreciation for the music and the effort put into cover art, printing, etc.
BRIDGES LEFT BURNING are releasing their third release with this record. The band, which has been around since 2004, toured Europe in the spring. This was a logical step after six years of band existence.
The band from Frauenau plays melodic hardcore of the newer school with an emo touch. The production is fat, the songs are varied and recorded with pressure, so there is absolutely no boredom, and one already thinks of the circle pit at the next concert (or alternatively the last concert).
This alone would be enough for a positive conclusion, but BRIDGES LEFT BURNING have not only taken another step in their development as a hardcore band that deserves attention with this release, they also recorded the album completely on their own, released it on their own label, and are donating every cent earned from the sale of the vinyl EP to PETA. With the download, everyone can determine the price they are willing to pay for the songs. Here too, every cent goes to PETA. Undoubtedly, a price should be chosen that is oriented towards the vinyl release, so that a decent amount comes together.
The band has completely financed this release out of their own pockets, wants nothing in return, but wishes to invest everything for more animal protection and the corresponding education about animal cruelty. Very commendable! In times when, for example, protests against fur are becoming less frequent, animal protection still struggles, and nature continues to suffer because economic growth is often more important than an intact habitat.
Ramtatta.de wishes BRIDGES LEFT BURNING the success they wish for themselves with this release, especially for the financial commitment with which they want to support PETA.
