Who would have thought? I considered the purchase of the new Turbonegro album a risky buy. I was really a bit afraid that I would want to close the chapter on Turbonegro forever afterward. Instead, after listening three times, I immediately transferred 12 out of the 14 songs (including two bonus tracks) to my MP3 player, which I have been enthusiastically listening to over and over for weeks. The album is distinctly different from its predecessors, both in style and concept. Nevertheless, it is unmistakably Turbonegro, delivering what I believe is the best album of their reunion. I don't want to highlight any particular song. Each one has its own moments. As I said, they could have skipped two of them. Likewise, the prepubescent phone call at the end of one of their songs could have been left out. But who cares! Turbonegro serves up a surprise menu with twelve courses here, which many would not have dared to order from them anymore.
