the second god of music is here. next to Karel, now also Boris, and he does it damn well. as the first parallel, there's the accent-free German singing. yes, Acapulco here like go. forget Tocotronic. forget directly Hamburg... this is Dortmund milieu poetry. pop music at its finest. guitar, bass, drums, harmonica, and a few pale things plus mandolin. sososo. "two hearts beat deep in my chest... one drives a Porsche... the other goes on foot... baby listen to me... this is the borderliner blues." if I were to make a pop music album, it would probably sound exactly like this. the influences in the music are evident and the way of writing. repeating lines from other songs. and a song about IKEA. although a different approach was chosen here... "I dive into the IKEA ball pit... I feel free, like I've never been... I made a little pile... in the IKEA ball pit." that is poetry. not to forget the grand finale "rockstar in Azerbaijan" adeadeade. 3 thumbs up!!!!!!! the humble young man does all this in the hope that there are people who will play his music. well, I've already done it. "this is Bukowski-land... my friend's name is Bohnekamp." even the websites are in black and white. actually, a n'am hammanit album could have been discussed here on 120. but it isn't. things happen. the album is from God. so now enough rambling. listen to pop music at
