Since 2003, these 5 characters from Arnstorf have been playing together. In 2005, their first EP was released, and now here is their first product on long player, which is available from CARGO starting July 13, 2007. I've listened to the CD several times already and still can't get excited about it. The band name literally fits, Nomen est Omen, in contrast to the title and not at all to the music. Unfortunately, it doesn't even match the band when I look at the faces in the inlay. They sound quite school-like... the vocals want to sound dirty, but they definitely do not, although the multi-voiced breaks still sound good. However, this is not Punk'n'Roll, not even a tired beginning of the end. Nevertheless, I can't completely dismiss it as crap at this point, because the music in the background swirls quite nicely around the ears! However, they should save or practice 50% of the solos... find a better singer and then it would fit my ears! Then they could be nicely packed into the melodic punk rock drawer and best left there until the rest eventually aligns and really gets my ears shaking! But not like this! Moving on...
