After the barrage of attacks I've been receiving due to my honest reviews, I don't even know whether to be happy or annoyed that I can't tear this CD apart!!!! After the band released their first full-length album in 2003, the guys managed to bring out their 4th studio album, "Pimp my Riot", just 3 years later with Nix Gut. The album has its highs but unfortunately also its lows. It features refreshing German punk rock that blends melody, a bit of hardness, and often skillfully incorporates related styles. Even though I often complain about a mix that is too broad, I wish this CD came across as a bit more varied. I find my highlight in the track "Absurd", which moves forward pleasantly and puts me in a good mood. Unfortunately, I also encounter some unpleasant fun punk tracks like "Griechische Urlaubsliebe" or "Gurke". Lyrically, everything falls within a framework that I've heard far too often and unfortunately doesn't stand out. And... "Erfindung der Regierung" gets stuck in its attempt to be political.
However, the voice stands out positively. Even though it fluctuates quite a bit overall, it reminds me of BOXHAMSTERS or the old BRIEFTAUBEN. This comparison should and must not persist throughout.
The young German punk fan can easily grab this for 5 euros. I myself probably won't listen to this CD very often.
Overall, it's okay.
