This D.I.Y. CD was recorded in 2003 by the four guys from Karlsfeld, according to the CD info text, and served as a demo CD for a small tour through the U.S.A. The lyrics can be read online at www.mongrel.de. There, it will probably also be revealed what the seven songs on this CD are called. Overall, aside from the contact details, they have held back on information about the band. Why is that? There's really no need to be ashamed of the music. The sound quality is more than good, and the songs themselves are enjoyable. It's not exactly my preferred music genre at the moment, but I still like it. If I had to make a comparison to well-known bands, I would bring up Bad Religion. Although I must mention that to this day, I've probably had a Mongrel CD in the CD player more often than a Bad Religion CD. But listen to Mongrel for yourself. It's worth it.
