Bremen is not rocked, Bremen rocks. This has been shown in the past not only by many bands from the Weser city, but also now and today by WAX MINDS.
WAX MINDS released their first 10" vinyl on July 3, 2026, after their first release on cassette came out in 2024. Exclusively on cassette. After all, they are underground. Now follows the 10" vinyl with “Funatic Asylum.”
The ten songs are no longer than a maximum of 02:47 minutes. Half of the songs are under two minutes. One might guess Grindcore or Hardcore. Far from it!
WAX MINDS play a fuzzy garage sound for connoisseurs of the genre.
You could also call the style Swamp on coke.
Trippy, created in a haze and cooked with the fire of Rock'n'Roll.
WAX MINDS do not make sound for everyone. They deliberately create a sound best heard in a dark, humid-warm club. A place where you can let yourself go and be enchanted by the guitar-heavy fuzz-garage sound. Currently, five concerts are confirmed until the end of the year, including in Frankfurt am Main, Hannover, Dortmund, and Bremen. There are supposed to be more, so keep your eyes and ears open.
WAX MINDS once again show what can arise when people have time and enjoy what they do, leading to the development of a unique sound.
