One of the most active bands I know, LOS FASTIDIOS, released a new 7" vinyl on August 1, 2025.
Perfect for summer, there are two songs that not only represent the season but also LOS FASTIDIOS.
On the A-side, there is the song “Back to Blackpool“ in a new version. Originally, the song was released as a video in 2024, which can be seen here:

In the song, LOS FASTIDIOS not only sing about the legendary “Rebellion Festival“ that takes place in the British seaside town of Blackpool but also about what makes the festival special beyond the music. It is a large gathering of friends.
It is a festival that shows solidarity, that shows friendship, and that, especially in these times, demonstrates that you are not alone. LOS FASTIDIOS have been playing there for many years, often even multiple shows, and are very connected to the festival. A great declaration of love for the “Rebellion Festival“ and for all the people who have been going there for years and have made the festival what it is.
“Back to Blackpool“ will be released on vinyl for the first time with this single.
On the B-side is the song “Lovesteady“. The song is from the album of the same name, which was released on April 7, 2025.

The song on this 7" has been subjected to a dub treatment by Manwel T (Tabone) and comes in a completely new guise. Manwel T has been firmly rooted in the reggae scene since the 70s and shows what he is capable of here. The version by Manwel T is very relaxed, very chill, and the deep bass makes it a lot of fun. It is noticeable that the songs by LOS FASTIDIOS also sound great in other styles. This speaks to excellent songwriting and an incredibly good sense of rhythm and melody.
Purchasing the new 7" from LOS FASTIDIOS is worth it without a doubt.
I can also easily imagine that the two songs will be played at future ska nights. The two songs fit the summer like a pool and a cocktail.
