There are records that you have to listen to multiple times before they get ingrained in your brain, and there are records that no matter how often you listen to them, they just won't stick in your mind. Then there's FLOMB! (Frank Ludes One Man Band), who, right from the first song, has taken over the little gray cells quite decisively.
By the time the second song "Das nächste Schiff" comes around (also check it out in the videos), no foot stays still, and you find yourself whistling the melody along. By the second listen, you're already singing along to the chorus

das kommt das gehört uns…"
However, it doesn't always go so melodiously with Frank; in the third song "Kaum Glanz viel Schmuddel", the drums are quite brutally assaulted. And all of this is done entirely by Frank, everything was recorded by Frank in Franks home recording studio. Really everything? No, in "Johnny B. Scheuert", Olli Bockmist is behind the drum kit and sings along as well.
On the microphone, Frank is also supported by Alex from PASCOW, Andre Sinner, Bärbel Rotzky from EISENPIMMEL, and Stemmen from NOTGEMEINSCHAFT PETER PAN.
Accordingly, the 14 songs resonate from the speakers in a varied and fun way. 40 minutes that are just pure joy and play on repeat in the car radio…
Musically, you can hear (current) ÄRZTE as well as (old) MOLOTOW SODA songs. In line with this, there's the super cool CANALTERROR song "Saufbauch" covered with a ukulele! It's a blast! A touch of ZELTINGER BAND can also be filtered out by my ears, I like it…
And while I'm already listing the old bands, Frank was previously the singer and guitarist for BASH!, and we (NON CONFORM) played with them in the 90s, or did we just bring them to our good old JZK? But who did we sleep with back then in Viersen at the bowling alley?!? I can't remember anymore….
Yet that was just a little over 25 years ago!
(Good thing there was no Fratzenbook and Anagram back then :-) )
