There's a lot happening with HIPPIE TRIM this summer: While they recently had shows with FIDDLEHEAD and TURNSTILE, the quintet now presents their personal summer hit with the incredibly fitting title "Dead Heat". The new album "What Consumes Me" will be released on September 16.

Drummer Luc Jouon says the following about the creation process of the new album: “We have grown closer together as a creative collective and were able to better utilize the strengths of each member than we did on ‘Cult’. During the Corona times, it was definitely a highlight to go into the studio and escape the stagnation that the pandemic caused for bands to some extent.”
While the band already played shows with FIDDLEHEAD and TURNSTILE this summer, they will share the stage with TURBOSTAAT among others in September. An exclusive release show will follow in Cologne in October:

HIPPIE TRIM burst onto the scene in 2019 with a loud bang: With only one single released so far, the quintet sold out their first show weeks in advance and immediately followed up by supporting the US post-punks DRUG CHURCH on their Germany dates.
In 2022, HIPPIE TRIM presents themselves more confidently than ever and continues to expand their sound world with their second work. While the material was once again produced in Frankfurt, the band worked for mixing and mastering for the first time with Americans Jon Markson (DRUG CHURCH, SUCH GOLD, CAN'T SWIM) and Adam Cichocki (FREE THROW, LIKE PACIFIC).
