In December 1981, Die Toten Hosen started rehearsing together, the exact day lost in the mists of time. Therefore, the date of their first concert on 10.04.1982 at the Bremen "Schlachthof" is the official birthday of the band. On the occasion of this anniversary, the band is releasing their "Wort zum Sonntag" as a new recording in the "70 ist die neue 60, ihr Lutscher!" mix and a moving video that looks back on 40 years of band history as a surprise for fans and companions.
Die Toten Hosen: "40 years is a long time, and we are just grateful for everything we have experienced and, in part, survived. On this day, we think of everyone who has accompanied us on this journey, especially those who can no longer be with us and to you! What song could be more fitting than a song that is regarded as the 'creed' of Die Toten Hosen? We wish you a lot of fun! Happy Birthday to all of us!"
The link to the video is as follows:

The song will also be included in the retrospective "Alles aus Liebe: 40 Jahre Die Toten Hosen". The album will be released on 27.05. as a limited 4-vinyl LP box, double CD digipack, and digitally with 43 songs, including seven new pieces, three new recordings, and three remixes of already released classics.
Everyone wants to celebrate the big band anniversary with Die Toten Hosen, so we need more space for the big birthday party: Due to the continued huge demand, the concert on 09.07.22 will be moved from Großpösna to the Festwiese in Leipzig! The spacious area in the middle of the city was already the scene of a legendary evening in 2015, which all involved remember fondly, not only because of the wild aftershow party typical for Saxony. Die Toten Hosen are excited: "It’s no secret that Leipzig has become something like a second home for us. Therefore, we are even more pleased to have the opportunity to spend an evening with friends in this special place!". Together with Die Toten Hosen, guests Feine Sahne Fischfilet, Thees Uhlmann & Band, and Tim Vantol will provide the music for the day. All tickets remain valid, and tickets are still available at www.dth.de and at all known advance booking points.
Berlin Tempelhof sold out!
Unfortunately, not everywhere is it possible to move to a larger venue, and therefore the concert taking place on 20.08.22 at Berlin's Tempelhof Airport is "SOLD OUT!". Die Toten Hosen are excited: "Besides the wild aftershow party typical for Berlin, we are especially looking forward to an official blast with many friends in front of a record crowd". Support acts on this day will include Feine Sahne Fischfilet and other guests.
