New year, new plans, new hopes. New with The Screenshots is a change in roles: Susi Bumms will sing from now on, allowing Dax Werner to focus better on playing guitar. The kickoff for this is the song "John Mayer“:

“John Mayer” completes the music video universe for the debut album “2 Millionen Umsatz mit einer einfachen Idee.” The videos for the album have taken The Screenshots to amazing places: to the smallest AirBnB in the world, to a co-working space, to Fortnite, and into a studio with five dogs. Now, a wonderland is added to these spaces. In this place, where children usually push each other around, filmmaker Jelena Ilic places the video for “John Mayer.” In 2001, singer/songwriter John Mayer sings about some body as a wonderland, resulting in all bodies worldwide being sung about as wonderlands from 2001 to 2010, because this song plays on the radio at any time. With wonderland, the appearance and not the inner life of a body was meant: porcelain skin, lips made of sugar, tongue made of gum, etc. In “John Mayer,” this is intentionally misunderstood. In the video, Susi Bumms rides around on a sheep. Bouncy castles, go-kart tracks, ball pits, and The Screenshots right in the middle of a place that promises fun but can't really shake off melancholy.
The Screenshots last performed in October 2020 together with LGoony on “Late Night Berlin,” before that at festivals in Germany and Austria. Plans for 2021 are currently being forged, with hopes of being able to implement them.
