At the end of 2006, a sampler of a different kind was released in the vast jungle of punk music. The name itself is unusual, "1 Meter 10 Leben," and the entire artwork is less reminiscent of punk and more of life, joy, and hope. Nevertheless, this unique piece features 20 tracks from well-known bands such as Dritte Wahl, No Exit, Zaunpfahl, and YOK (formerly known as Quetschenpaua), among others.
Those who read the lyrics and the photos on the large, colorful poster cover will learn a lot about a small girl named Merlina-Ra Zoè, who was born with an extremely rare chromosomal alteration, about being "different," which is clumsily referred to as "disabled" in German, and about dolphin therapy, which has helped many sick children and will continue to do so. The proceeds from this sampler are for the benefit of Merlina-Ra Zoè, enabling her to improve her living situation through dolphin therapies.
The sampler was compiled by her mother, produced by Anti-Kultur, and is limited to 1000 copies (with a copy number).
