The Pretty Reckless release a new single titled "Death By Rock And Roll". It is the first new song from the US rock band led by singer and former actress Taylor Momsen in almost four years.
A new album via Century Media Records is in the works.
"In many ways, the new album we are working on feels like a rebirth," says Taylor Momsen. "And our first single 'Death By Rock And Roll' represents for me the kind of soul salvation that my favorite music provides. Rock music is freedom, and this song is about living life the way you want to."

"Death By Rock And Roll" is the first new piece of music from the band The Pretty Reckless, which was founded in 2008 in New York City, in nearly four years. The band is currently working on their first studio album without the involvement of their producer Kato Khandwala, who passed away in 2018. He not only worked on the debut album "Light Me Up", but also on the immensely successful follow-up album "Going To Hell", which was released in 2014. The band, led by Taylor Momsen, who left acting in 2012 to fully concentrate on her music career, not only reached the Top 5 of the US Billboard charts with this album. With "Heaven Knows", "Fucked Up World", and "Follow Me Down", The Pretty Reckless scored three consecutive number #1 hits. This was last achieved by The Pretenders in 1984 as a female-fronted band.
The most recent album, "Who You Selling For" from 2016, also produced a number #1 single with "Take Me Down", accompanied by TV appearances on Letterman and Conan O'Brien.
