Biffy Clyro, one of the leading rock bands in the UK, is releasing a new single today titled "Instant History". "Instant History" is the precursor to Biffy Clyro's upcoming eighth studio album, which is currently in progress.
“This time we wanted to lead with something that is the most outlandish thing we have on the album. ‘Instant History’ is the biggest, boldest pop moment we’ve ever worked on,” says singer and band leader Simon Neil. “It’s a fantastic opening statement, even though musically it doesn’t reflect the direction of the rest of the album. However, thematically there’s a good indication of what the album is about: learning from mistakes and recognizing how to look forward. Things can resemble each other but will never be the same again. Let’s approach this without fear.”
Simon Neil's words heighten the anticipation for Biffy Clyro's new album, "Britain's Best Band" (Kerrang!). On the new album, "the champions of stadium rock" (The Guardian) – completed by the Johnston brothers James (bass) and Ben (drums) – take everything that defines them to the next level. They deliver some of the most captivating choruses in their band history, along with explosions of pure, instinct-driven intensity and moving, beautiful orchestrations. This eclectic quality ensures unpredictability, especially as these features often occur within a single track.
Biffy Clyro reached #1 on the German and British album charts with their last studio album "Ellipsis".
