At the beginning of June 2007, the next G8 summit will take place on the Mecklenburg Baltic Sea coast in Heiligendamm. The heads of state and government of leading industrial countries will meet to discuss global issues. Due to the long-standing criticisms regarding the promotion of a destructive policy towards the environment and developing countries, protests are expected again. Part of this is the solidarity sampler "Make Capitalism History," which also serves to provide financial support. It includes a six-language booklet with a lot of information about the upcoming G8 summit. Musically, there is a mix of various music styles featuring German and international bands. Antifascist initiatives, info shops, distributors, and other projects have the opportunity to purchase the CD for 6 euros for resale. Normally, it can be purchased here for two euros more.
