The Independent Youth and Cultural Center (UJZ) is as much a part of Peine as steel and Härke. And even 33 years after the establishment of this unique institution in Lower Saxony, we will heat things up for you this summer with a top-notch political punk open air.
We have put a lot of thought into this, shed blood and sweat, and made some innovations.
The UJZ Open Air is now called: "Refuse" and kicks off on July 29 with a "Warm Up Party" at the new campsite of the UJZ. Some surprises are planned for this, and fans of campsite parties will definitely get their money's worth. As in the past, camping and parking will be free of charge.
Then on Saturday, July 30, the gates of the UJZ will open promptly at 3:00 PM, and a successful mix of bands will make the hearts of every colorful-haired person beat faster.
In addition to the music, there will also be provisions for the surrounding activities at the Refuse Open Air: drinks and food will be sold at fair prices, and vegans will also be fully catered to this year. For those politically interested, there will be information booths, and at some vendors, you can find what every punk rock heart desires.
As always, we will fight against commercialization in typical DIY fashion, as the core idea of non-profit is deeply rooted in the UJZ's foundations.
Bands:
The Restarts
Total Chaos
Rasta Knast
Bambix
Auweia!
F*cking Angry
E-egal
Pflasterstein
