Konvoy. This is the clique, the gang, a friendship of three boys: Moritz, Laszlo, and Joe. From the south of Germany - but they prefer to be on the road. Sometimes calm, sometimes impulsive. Different as they are, they have one thing in common: They celebrate life! A life somewhere between excess and decency. In search of the new, they always move in the here and now. There is celebration, studying, or making music. But what sounds like a carefree life also holds a lot of questions within it.
The two rappers Moritz and Laszlo have known each other since childhood and found their calling in music early on. "I never had any other plans. I never planned my future. It was convenient that I could try it as a rapper and producer professionally," recalls Moritz. The lyrics of the two come across as rough and cheeky at times, then completely tidy, culminating in melodic choruses. "We have no fear of pop. We sometimes secretly listen to the radio," says Jan. The message: honesty instead of attitude. Joe, the "crazy" drummer and Allgäu original, completes the Konvoy. The music pieces with dull bass lines, trippy synths, and reverberated drums are always created in collaboration, even when the trio is not in one place. "It is very important to us that we have the reins in our hands during the creation process," says Joe, who, alongside his role as a drummer, is responsible for production together with Moritz.
With the EP "Konvoy," they gave their first sign of life in the fall of 2013. Three songs and remixes about life, love, dreaming, failing, and breaking out. Their personal soundtrack to the film of growing up. Here, German-language rap meets urban pop music. A mix that the boys bring to life on stage. Numerous concerts and festival gigs followed, such as at Southside or Summerjam.
Now the next chapter is being written. With the single "Weit weg," produced by Konvoy and Aiko Rohd, and the accompanying music video, the first work of the new album has now been released. Recently, they accompanied CRO on his Mello tour. Their first own tour is starting now, and even headliner slots at festivals are secured. The Konvoy is rolling.
