On January 30, "We Are Undone" was released, the fifth studio album of the Californian duo TWO GALLANTS, via ATO / PIAS Cooperative.
Adam Stephens (guitar, harmonica, keyboard, vocals) and Tyson Vogel (drums, guitar, vocals) once again tackle socially critical themes in their powerful rock songs, such as the impending climate catastrophe, the illusion of authenticity, social change, and the resulting alienation from their hometown, as well as the romantic process of becoming estranged. Without naming it too directly, the title track "We Are Undone" addresses the societal pressure of constant consumption, which has become so deeply ingrained in our culture that we believe our lives and happiness depend on owning certain things.
The recordings for the follow-up to "The Bloom and the Blight" (2012) took place within a month together with Karl Derfler (Tom Waits) in Northern California.
Starting at the end of February, Two Gallants will be on a major tour in Germany!
