This year, SO36, the legendary club in the heart of Kreuzberg, turns 36 years old. 36 years of SO36 means 36 years full of legends and stories that need to be told.
On August 11, 1978, the former cinema was used for the first time as a concert venue. It began a unique story of avant-garde, punk, closures, reopenings, occupations, and many owners until the current operator collective, which has been rewriting history since 1990.
The development of the club/concert venue reflects that of the Kreuzberg (Southeast) 36 district in many aspects, has shaped it, influenced several generations of young musicians, promoted careers, brought people together, and separated them again. It is high time to tell all of this firsthand. We want to dedicate a great book to SO36 with many photos, anecdotes, memorabilia, and the ultimate true chronicle.
Additionally, there will be a DVD with an opulent collection of materials!
