Inzest im Familiengrab!
TERRORGRUPPE is back, Punkrock Germany is happy. After the surprising announcement of concerts in the summer of 2014, the band also reported that they had seen a recording studio "from the inside." Here is the result, under the same motto as the surprising tour.
Terrorgruppe sounds trashier and more garage-like, but also a bit more 60s than before their tiny 10-year creative break; a dirty Farfisa organ has been added to the band's sound... the four songs alternate between anthemic punk rock ("Na endlich" and the title track), classically simple power pop like 1979 ("Bulimie-Bettina"), and a real Americana/Folk song (don’t worry, German lyrics).
Side 1 (also called "Opa-Punk" on the vinyl) deals with aging, the state of being in a reunified Germany, and aged (half-dead) public figures; Side 2 ("Teen-Pop") simply wants to unfairly defame and stigmatize a persecuted and defenseless minority, namely the minority of 15-year-old teenagers. Somehow, the capital Berlin also comes up in the Easy Jet and gentrification frenzy. As is fitting for a real punk band, the band averages 12-16 lines of lyrics per song to express everything important on the topic.
