Today, Flight 13 Records releases the two reissues of the albums "Schafott zum Fahrstuhl" (2001, Buback) and "Die Entstehung der Nacht" (2009, Buback).
The original artwork has been recreated, and both records are released as 180g pressings in thick covers with an accompanying 4-color folder.
As a special treat, the out-of-print double DVD "Material" has been split into two parts and included with the records.
GOLDENE ZITRONEN-Schafott "Schafott zum Fahrstuhl": The Hamburg collective around Schorsch Kamerun and Ted Gaier continues its search for a unique, destructive sound.
Post-punk, as German as it gets: brittle, harsh, unwieldy, intellectual, and with no small amount of electronic influence – perhaps the exemplary antithesis to the development of the band Blumfeld.

"Die Entstehung der Nacht": three years after "Lenin", the Goldies send their next musical signal. And after 25 years of band history, it has long been clear that surprises are the norm.
A sovereign artistic incident, permeated by tinkering electronics and threatening backdrops, that even grooves and actually contains some hits ("Des Landeshauptmanns Letzter Weg", "Drop The Stylist",
"Aber Der Silbermond", "Lied Der Medienpartner"). Neither does it repeat criticism, nor do the Zitronen elevate themselves above the circumstances. Instead, they let their reflexes run free as connoisseurs of consumer society,
still holding up a mirror to us, and indulging in their nonconformist persistence. Enriched with instruments like a blower organ, prepared piano, bongos, flutes, and double bass, as well as mechanical printing methods, "Die Entstehung Der Nacht" creates its own conditions between Krautrock and techno. The lyrics remain, of course, the primary instrument, without ever losing humor.
The accompanying DVD (FSK 12) contains the documentary "Übriggebliebene ausgereifte Haltungen" by Peter Ott (88 minutes) plus 10 video clips from 1987 to 2006.
