The last Queensday Festival ever! For the fourteenth time, the festival will take place at Perron55 in Venlo, Netherlands. THIS is the festival for Queen's Day/Kings Day, for all lovers of punk rock, garage rock, and rock’n’roll. Six bands have already been announced, and now the line-up is complete.
With acts including Sleepy Sun, Eagulls, John Paul Keith, and Dead Ghost, an international line-up has once again been put together. As experience has shown in recent years, the acts are not the only international aspect: Every year, visitors from all over Western Europe come to Venlo to celebrate this party of the Dutch monarchy.
Nevertheless, local bands are also not forgotten each year. In 2014, the Mothmen will open the festival, and De Stekkers from Asten-Heusden will perform as the last band.
This time coming to Venlo are: SLEEPY SUN, EAGULLS, CHEATAHS, JOHN PAUL KEITH, DEAD BRONCO, PAINT FUMES, F.Y.P., DEAD GHOSTS, HENHOUSE PROWLERS, TOYS THAT KILL, LOS VIGILANTES, POPSTRANGERS, DE SP ATIES, ROBBING BANKS, THE MOTHMEN, DE STEKKERS, THE DINOSAUR TRUCKERS FT. DEREK W DUNN, and DJ YOURI.
As mentioned, for the very last time – and this time on Saturday, April 26. This is also the second-to-last event at Perron55 before it closes its doors forever.
"For extremely little money," as the Ox-Fanzine beautifully put it, there is a lot of great music to enjoy here. Tickets are available for €10 each at the counter and can be purchased on the website www.queensday.info.
