Originally, the late Rio Reiser, who passed away in 1996, was buried on the property in Stadum, which he purchased with his band Ton Steine Scherben in 1975 for 50,000 Marks. Until 2010, the farm still housed a recording studio and the Rio Reiser Museum. However, due to financial difficulties faced by the heirs, the former musician collective had to be sold, and Rio Reiser was reinterred in Berlin, while the property was converted into a youth assistance facility.
