On January 31, Joseph Parsons' long-awaited new album 'Empire Bridges' was released on Meer Music & Blue Rose Records (Soulfood). With his moving baritone voice, he tells stories of grand themes between darkness and light. Energetically furious and fragilely calm: Joseph Parsons can do both and writes distinctive songs that often defy any genre categorization. 'Empire Bridges' is rich in themes, profound, rocky, and spiritual, poetic, or with catchy melodies.
Since the beginning of the month, Joseph Parsons has been on the road to present his new work live. Accompanying him is his band (Sven Hansen - drums; Freddi Lubitz - bass, vocals; Ross Bellenoit - electric guitar, vocals), which is of course also featured on 'Empire Bridges'.
While his albums are always emotional and energetic, his concerts are dynamic, spirited, and very personal experiences, with loud as well as soft sounds, atmospheric parts, and rocky songs, paired with Parsons' incomparable voice and his immensely likeable manner.
The singer-songwriter from Philadelphia, now living in Europe, moves through various genres and blends emotionally charged rock with traces of soul & folk to create his own unique style.
