On January 24th, it’s happening: With "Nostalgia for the Future," ERIK COHEN is releasing an extraordinary and distinctively sounding debut album through his self-created platform RYL NKR Recordings (distribution: Rough Trade), which powerfully emphasizes that German-speaking R.O.C.K. music can still benefit from an artist like him.
Not many records come out of the speakers as varied and homogeneous as this one; each song on the album immediately gets stuck in your ear and convinces with a catchy lyrical clarity that remains free from dull embarrassments and the often-heard 08/15 chorus lines.
