These songs are responsible for hardcore kids moshing, punk rockers pointing fingers, and metalheads headbanging together on the dance floors of weekend guitar clubs in the early 2000s.
When Funeral For A Friend released their debut EP "Between Order And Model" in 2002, the Screamo genre exploded in Europe. And the band did too. With their mix of doubled guitar riffs, alternating shouts and clean vocal parts, driving three-minute songs, and interspersed quiet moments, the five-piece had their finger on the pulse of metal at the time. This was followed by an incredibly good full-length debut and the ultimate reward for a year and a half of burning stages non-stop. Tour support for Iron Maiden (Maiden, dude! Maiden!!!).
"Between Order And Model" represents the beginnings of a talented band. Their resulting rise. The Screamo monster is served as a digipack on CD and for the very first time also on vinyl in an exclusive limited edition of 1000 copies (300 pieces in white/green, 700 pieces in clear orange). Singer Matt takes a look back at the band's beginnings in detailed liner notes together with long-time companions Oly Sykes (Bring Me The Horizon) and Josh Latshaw (Boysetsfire). Additionally, there is a 12-page booklet with never-before-seen photos from the Welsh band's private archive.
