Bouncing Souls, this eternally young punk band from the East Coast, has been active for 25 years with just one change in the drummer position 14 years ago. Can someone who seems so solid really be punk? Can someone who has remained true to themselves, their fans, and their music for a quarter of a century truly be rebellious? Exactly! Songs like “Sing Along Forever,” “Kate Is Great,” or “The Freaks, The Nerds, And The Romantics” are absolute classics of the genre, and the latest album “Comet” from last year connects directly to the old records. Because Bouncing Souls have always delivered what they promised, because they have always maintained their views and opinions, and because they have evolved musically while always playing punk, they are still and once again true heroes of defiance for a new generation. What definitely belongs to their profile are the fantastic live performances of the quartet. Anyone who has been on tour for such a long time, who steps onto the stage so straightforwardly, and who brings so much dedication for their equally passionate fans aged 13 to 45 can only turn a concert into an experience. The Bouncing Souls want to prove this not only at their upcoming performances at Hurricane and Southside but also at their show on June 20 at the Schweinfurt Stadtbahnhof.
