Finally: With "Motherfucker Jazz Bar", Diving For Sunken Treasure are making a loud return to the world seas! What was hinted at in their pre-single "Caravan" continues on the new album: The trademark sailor's gipsy punk of the Berlin band has become harder, louder, and more unpredictable. While psychobilly guitars already complemented the songs on the predecessor "Raaa", they now take center stage - as on "At The Harbor": beautifully distorted, with plenty of twang, just the way Tarantino likes it on his soundtracks. However, the unmistakable sound of Diving For Sunken Treasure, consisting of staccato drums, multi-part vocals, upright bass, and high-speed acoustic guitars, remains the foundation of the entire album - they can do whatever they want. And the best part: That’s exactly what they do. Diving For Sunken Treasure skillfully navigate past all musical dead ends. Recorded in an intimate atmosphere and typically dry produced by Sebastian Kiefer, the band leaves the safe home port multiple times and sends some beloved clichés cheerfully keel-hauling - from the deck of the proud battleship that carries them to unknown territories.
