The release of the new Motorjesus album and all previously planned live activities must be put on hold for the time being, as singer Chris Birx needs to undergo heart surgery. Statement from the band:

"Unfortunately, there is bad news from Team Motorjupp: We are sadly forced to take a break.

Here is a statement from Chris: "Unfortunately, I have to inform you that I need to take a break for a while. The reason: I have to go into the workshop!
I have had a congenital heart defect called “aortic valve insufficiency” since birth. This means that my heart valve is defective and no longer closes properly. For many years, this has not caused me any problems. Unfortunately, the condition has deteriorated so significantly in a very short time that I must immediately withdraw to undergo heart surgery in a few weeks.”

We have now collectively decided with heavy hearts to cancel all appointments, as all stopgap solutions would not be 100% Motorjesus for us. Thus, the album must also wait. The band and the entire environment fully support Chris and want to wait until the whole team is ready to go again with full strength. Chris will be occupied with rehabilitation for a few months after the operation, but he wants to get fit again as soon as possible to finish the album. If you would like to write something to Chris during this time, you can do so at chris ät motorjesus punkt net or on Facebook at
http://www.facebook.com/chris.birx.”
