Free Gothic Rock Sampler Quintessenz 2012

Just before Christmas and right on time a day after the supposedly prophesied apocalypse, the free download compilation "Quintessenz 2012" from afmusic is released, which aims to provide an overview of the CDs and vinyl records published by the label.

The first part of the compilation is programmatic, as the invoked and long-lived Gothic Rock Revival by afmusic features names like Golden Apes, Red Sun Revival, The Last Cry, Brotherhood, and Grooving In Green. Those leaning more towards Post Punk will find songs from Voyvoda, Dystopian Society, Ending The Vicious Cycle, and others, while the discerning indie listener will enjoy Emerald Park, The Search, and Uni_Form. Finally, for fans of electronic music, AlterRed, Sharon Next, and (((S))) also provide material for the last days of the year.

In total, the compilation boasts a solid 28 tracks, offering 2 hours of music in the slightly darker style. The download has been available on Bandcamp since today: afmusic.bandcamp.com/album/quintessenz-2012
