The Computers are loud! And they scream! A lot! And that makes sense. After all, their roots lie in rock. They make this clear time and again, iconographically breaking it down with their hairstyles, their suits, their album covers, their logos, and their videos, with the crucial point being that something new always emerges from the old. They do this with their lineup of two guitars, bass, and drums. And they do it with their music. No song from their debut "This is The Computers" reaches three minutes; the entire album rushes by in 25 minutes. And this short time is filled by The Computers in such a loud, brash, and straightforward manner that it’s unbelievable. The foundation is the 12-bar blues structure. On top of that, rock’n’roll is layered. From each subsequent decade, another layer comes: garage, punk, hardcore, grunge, post-something. And then more hardcore and rock’n’roll and hardcore again. The guttural vocals further emphasize the special attitude of the English. Their self-characterization consists of just one sentence: "Destroy everything." Preferably live, on stage. There, a whirlwind of riffs, drums, rockabilly, punk, hardcore, and brilliantine spins around, taking everyone off their feet with the best of both worlds. In September, you can once again convince yourself of the boys' live qualities when they come to us for five dates.
