ROCKZILLA concerts+mangement presents the Blue Moon Festival in Cottbus from October 5 to 6, 2012. Every year, the Chekov club is visited by enthusiasts of Heavy Rock to properly conclude the festival season.
Founded in 2010, the Blue Moon Festival has developed into the leading independent underground music event in the Cottbus area. The two-day festival has made a name for itself in the Stoner Rock and Psychedelic music scene with acts like Truckfighters (SWE), White Hills (USA), and Dixie Witch (USA), as well as through its very familial, relaxed vibe. In short: an intimate and well-organized festival initiated by people who love the music and the bands.
As always, lovers of brilliant guitar riffs and long jam parts will get their money's worth this time as well. The 2012 line-up features ten fantastic bands. Scene-known acts like Sungrazer and Asteroid, who are back on stage after a long absence, are guaranteed to leave the audience with tension in their necks. Also performing are My Sleeping Karma, who not only bring their energetic instrumental soundscape but whose performance will also serve as the record release show for their new album "SUMA".
Festival organizer David Kopsch adds, "We are particularly proud that we were able to win over two bands from our neighboring country Poland, Belzebong and Palm Desert, for this year's edition. In the spirit of intercultural dialogue through the universal language of music, we are especially pleased to welcome Polish festival visitors.
