The hardcore/punk flagship SMOKE BLOW is releasing a CD in collaboration with VISIONS magazine at the end of their "profile career," which dedicates an entire issue to the Kiel band and immortalizes them on the cover in August.
The special SMOKE BLOW cover is exclusively reserved for subscribers of the magazine; however, the band, editorial team, and publisher were very keen to offer the special SMOKE BLOW title to their fanbase at particularly friendly conditions. That they succeeded more than just a little is proven by the following link: www.visions.de/abo/smoke-blow
The classic compilation "1" included with the entire edition of the VISIONS magazine, which will be released on July 25, features 15 songs from 15 years of SMOKE BLOW and powerfully demonstrates: No one can have more hits in rock. It will be interesting in the end to see which essential tracks are ultimately missing and even more, what exactly is included.
At least three titles have been revealed by SMOKE BLOW in advance: An alternative version of "Alligator Rodeo," the long-lost original version of "Junkie Killer," and the classic "Sweetwater" in an alternative guise will definitely be represented. The rest of the driving song lineup will keep us waiting until the end of the month.
After that, the band will embark on their last extensive tour, with the grand finale taking place on December 22 in Kiel. Starting in 2013, we can only hope for the occasional solo appearance. Because according to their own statements, SMOKE BLOW will "never break up" happily.
