After 4 years, the time has finally come. DDP are releasing their new long player on DRITTE WAHL RECORDS. The good piece is named TEMPO ALTER! and will be released in mid to late 2012 as a CD and 10".
Back to the roots yet still fresh, vibrant, and full of energy, DDP present themselves on their fifth long player T E M P O A L T E R !. The choice of production alone is extraordinary. With Wally Walldorf (TOXOPLASMA) and Kurt Ebelhäuser (BLACKMAIL), two producers were involved in the recordings.
Walldorf, who was also responsible for the first three long players of the band, took care of the recordings of bass, drums, and vocals. This allowed DDP to solidify their roots, which are clearly in punk rock. Ebelhäuser, on the other hand, worked on the band's guitar sound and was ultimately responsible for the final mix. The master controls were handled by none other than Andi "The Dog" Jung.
The result: Tight punk rock lines meet indie rock. Since 1993, the quartet, founded in Koblenz and now settled in Cologne and Berlin, has consistently followed its path. DDP strikes back when it hurts, they criticize, they philosophize. DDP rubs people the wrong way and spits on the ground. DDP exercises criticism, never with the finger pointed up, but with a fist. And then they show heart again. Is romance punk? Yes, here comes the proof. Lyrically far from all German punk clichés – instead full of nostalgia, old love, and new hatred.
