The long journey has paid off! Gold award for "Wo fängt dein Himmel an?" and "Bis nach Toulouse" in Cologne!
Philipp Poisel is undoubtedly one of the biggest new artists of recent years. August 2008. The debut album "Wo fängt dein Himmel an?" is released. Philipp Poisel receives not only respectable attention with this album. No ... the album enters the charts and sells so consistently that media and music listeners enthusiastically embrace Philipp. The first sold-out concerts and an ever-expanding tour allow Philipp Poisel to rise as a new star in the German music sky. August 2010 the new album "Bis nach Toulouse". The successor enters the Top Ten directly. A sold-out tour follows in February/March 2011 with well over 40,000 spectators. Festivals including Melt and due to high demand, another sold-out tour in the fall of the same year. Philipp's song "Eiserner Steg" for the Schweighöfer film "What A Man" is so well received that by early 2012, the song and both albums reappear in the highest chart positions! The result to date is a quarter of a million albums sold from both releases!
But it continues, as Philipp responds to the many requests from fans and brings "Projekt Seerosenteich" to the stages in mid-April 2012. The tour is, at Philipp Poisel's heartfelt request, set in more intimate settings. A mix of theater houses and small concert halls. Philipp Poisel has created his own poetic world, where every little detail is important to him. He is excited about the special projector from a company in Vienna that projects extraordinary backgrounds up to 11 meters wide. He saws and paints the stage constructions himself with friends. "Someone who calculates harder would probably shake their head that one would even do something like this," Philipp believes and shares that the musicians and their companions sometimes stay in a recreational center instead of a hotel to make this tour possible.
A tour that runs until the end of May and is the most beautiful experience one can have this year! Here, one will be enchantingly captivated in Poisel's cosmos!
