A big name is coming to the small Monheim. Mimi, the daughter of a certain Marius Müller-Westernhagen, will grace us with her presence this year as part of her Germany tour.
After already celebrating her first successes with the indie rock band Battlekat since 2004, she is now on her own. Her debut album was released in May of this year. Those who listen to the record will quickly come to the conclusion that there are hardly any musical parallels to her famous father. "Road To Last Night" is a versatile singer/songwriter album. Whether for a cozy evening or for partying, MiMi has something for everyone. The track "Don’t Mourn The Sun" even made it onto the soundtrack of the cinema hit "Eclipse- Bis(s) zum Abendrot". The 25-year-old it-girl knows how to incorporate various styles into her music and process her experiences through it. She places great importance on authenticity in her music and her artistic freedom as a solo artist.
In fact, she never saw music as a career option. The talent is clearly in the family. As the daughter of one of Germany's most famous and successful singers, Mimi was bound to find her way to music sooner or later. Even as a child, MiMi, whose real name is Sarah, wrote her first songs. But her talent is not limited to music. In addition to her music career, she is also successful as a model. Her first concerts in Germany took place in June of this year and were a complete success for the singer, who now also has a residence in Hamburg. There, in her father's chosen home, her album was also created. However, he had nothing, really nothing to do with her work in the studio. The two do not discuss the music business. There are two things one should be aware of regarding her. First: she is her father's daughter. Second: she makes her music.
You can experience her music live on December 10th starting at 8 PM at Sojus 7, Kapellenstr. 38 in Monheim. She will be supported by her band The Mad Noise Factory. Tickets cost €12 plus fees in advance, and €15 at the box office.
Tickets are available at all CTS/Eventim advance sales points, on westticket.de, eventim.de, as well as eTickets on the pages of Rhein-Rock e.V. and on the Facebook page.
