Chris Burda and Martin Grimm from Hamburg founded the instrumental music project COLLAPSE UNDER THE EMPIRE. In no time, international magazines such as Q-Magazine, Rocksound, or Clash took notice of the band and were enthusiastic about the cinematic sound of their first two albums. Earlier this year, they were featured on the legendary “Emo Diaries” compilation from the US label Deep Elm. Furthermore, they composed the soundtrack for the short film “Sharks don’t Cry” for Sharkproject, an organization that fights on the front lines against the extinction of sharks.
After their psychedelic mini-album “The Sirens Sound” released last year and the split EP “Black Moon Empire” with the Russian band Mooncake, COLLAPSE UNDER THE EMPIRE will release the first part of the double album “Shoulders & Giants” on 21.10.2011, which will be released in Europe via Sister Jack/ Cargo Records. The current video is “Disclosure.” The second part of the album “Sacrifice & Isolation” will be released a year later.
