There are festivals like sand on the beach, and benefit events as well. But this festival should gain a bit more public attention.
For the second time, our neighbors from Neuss are striving to put together a truly fine festival with a first-class lineup.
In our opinion, it simply needs to be presented more prominently.
We present to you ChaRocky, an event whose name already, without further explanation, clearly stands for two things:
the charitable intent, as well as the fact that this is a rock festival.
Regarding the charitable aspect of this event, we are not only focused on raising donations but foremost on highlighting an organization that has been advocating for the victims (and their families) of child pornography and abuse for many years, the B.A.C.A.A. e. With this quote, every broadcast by the German electronic band, which sees itself as an imaginary radio station and operates accordingly, begins since 1993. Musically, the station moves in a realm between the New German Wave, analog electronic music, New Wave... and thus creates a new cosmos and the accompanying music for an ambitious future. Beyond the music, information and messages are sent into the world, as well as audio plays and computer programs are integrated into the respective broadcasts.

Pyscho Luna 
PSYCHO LUNA stands for an explosive mix of bombastic guitars, driving beats, and predominantly German lyrics. Dense atmospheres are skillfully produced, creating goosebumps without losing catchy lightness. The music can be categorized somewhere between Gothic rock, indie, and (80s) pop. The formation aims to provide entertainment at the highest level. This is achieved not only through catchy song structures but also through the unique performance, as recently proven during the European tour with "The Birthday Massacre". Following "Göttin", the last part of the Ice World Trilogy, the new album "Hamida – My Code: Physco" is now on the starting blocks. In their fourth work, PSYCHO LUNA skillfully manages to combine guitar music and pop elements with Gothic and wave in their unique way. At the core of this production stands the explosive rock sound, and with singer Louis Manke (Staubkind, Terminal Choice), they were able to win prominent guest vocals for the album opener "2 Sonnen". "Hamida" represents another step towards the emotional symbiosis of rock, pop, and wave. Thematically, composer and lyricist Mr. Luna addresses the course of an impulsive and exotic love from various perspectives, woven around the main character Hamida. The different stages are vividly captured in sounds and words and shot unfiltered into the listener's soul until the situation threatens to escalate. The work is repeatedly underscored with original sound recordings related to the theme. Just in time for the release of the predecessor album "Göttin" (2007, BBE/Alive), PSYCHO LUNA, as mentioned at the beginning, went on a four-week European tour as the official tour support for The Birthday Massacre and shared the stage with bands like Staubkind, Eisheilig, or Letzte Instanz. Additionally, PSYCHO LUNA has also been featured on various compilations such as the "Zillo" CD supplement, "Sonic Seducer CD supplement", "Gothic" CD supplement, "Orkus" CD supplement, "Schattentanz II", "Nachtschwärmer 7", and "Nachtschwärmer 8". There, PSYCHO LUNA could count itself among an illustrious circle of bands like "Ooomph!", "Lacrimosa", "L'Ame Immortelle", among others.
Stahlmann After the band has now signed a worldwide deal with AFM Records, truly steely times are ahead for the fans. It’s coming thick and fast: the single “Hass Mich..Lieb Mich” was released on September 3, the harbinger of the debut album STAHLMANN, which followed on September 17. Besides the musical qualities of the young band, STAHLMANN also stands out with their distinctive visual appearance. 'Stahlmann' is the long-overdue fresh blood infusion for Germany's modern rock scene. Fans of Rammstein, Eisbrecher, Megaherz, and Unheilig will be thrilled by “Stahlmann”, and not just them… Get ready, the STAHLMANN is coming...
Band Info Founded in 2008, entered the Top 20 of the German Alternative Charts with the debut EP 'Herzschlag' in 2009 and stayed there for a solid four weeks, rocked some of the big stages in the country in their first tour year alongside bands like Doro, In Extremo, and Saltatio Mortis: That is STAHLMANN. At the beginning of 2010, drummer O-Lee (Ex-Die Schröders) and bassist Dirk (Ex-Engelhai) joined as the new driving beat faction. In recent months, several of the new tracks have already been 'tested' under live conditions at various festivals and concerts of the tour presented by Zillo and were found to be good! With their debut album, the Göttingen band picks up exactly where they left off with their first release 'Herzschlag': 'Stahlmann' is mercilessly hard industrial with metal and gothic influences, melodic vocals that describe the dark paths of life, and a steel guitar wall whose brutal sound is unmatched. Striking lyrics, a deep, distinctive voice, and the spectacular optics make STAHLMANN a highly recognizable newcomer. Anyone who has experienced STAHLMANN live knows that all of this is even more intensified on stage – the silver faces of the five men reflect the steel-hard sound of the instruments and Mart's sonorous voice in a unique performance!
NEFACIO
The multi-instrumentalist and singer Baba (Ex-Ingrimm, Ex-Van Langen) is the head of the music project NEFACIO. With his songs, he tells the medieval story of the disobedient executioner Barbas, who flees from his homeland and makes a living as a minstrel. The lyrics are based on events and occurrences from the 14th century.
As a former member of bands with up to 10 musicians, he wanted to try something completely new and reduced the core lineup to two people. While Baba takes on the bass and vocals at concerts, the drums are filled with constantly changing companions. The astonishing thing is that despite this minimalist band concept, he is able to rock large stages, which he has already proven at some renowned festivals.
Occasionally, he invites musical guests to accompany him on his journey, which gives his music new influences time and again. For the second ChaRocky, guests can expect a cross-section from his exciting debut CD and new arrangements of well-known medieval hits.
The World Beside
The name Beside has stood for something different, new, that you haven't heard before since spring 2008. Initially, they were just looking for a catchy, concise, and short name, but now this name metaphorically represents the philosophy and music style that the four young music lovers present. Each of the four musicians from Neuss had already gathered various musical experiences long before this time. The group had existed since 2006 in various other configurations. However, it was only with Marcel Ackermann on keyboards that the perfect musical and human complement was found in 2008, which was to propel Beside forward. Thus, Marcel Ackermann's pleasant, harmonious keyboard playing musically complements the virtuosic, melodic guitar work of Sebastian Schleicher, supported by Kai Steckmann's fundamental bass and Dennis Degen's varied, lively drum grooves. Additionally, Kai Steckmann's smoky-bluesy voice, with strong vocal melodies and sophisticated English lyrics, gives the whole a special expression. The Beside style will probably never fit into a genre box; the music can only be vaguely described as melodic/progressive rock. The guys also incorporate elements like classic rock, metal, pop, jazz, blues, funk, fusion, drum'n'bass, and even electro into their music, resulting in a spicy mix that you won't hear on the radio. This way, Beside captivates audiences from young to old, and among the listeners, you can find everything from jazz to metal. With their concept, the group already won the Rock and Pop Promotion Award from the city of Neuss in 2009.
